Abstract/Summary:
Distributed Energy Systems (DES) has outstanding contributions on solving the energy and environmental issues. DES can fully utilize the primary energy and reduce the emission of harmful gases, because DES is designed by the standard of energy cascade utilization. As the rapid development of the global economy, the research of DES would be more and more valued. But, because of the problem of matching the output of system with the needs of user has not been properly resolved, so the designed DES can’t reach the expected economic. So, many investors give up the investment in this project and development and popularization of DES face with the obstacle. This paper takes into account these issues. This paper would do the operation optimization of the DES based on gas turbine and internal combustion engine. In order to obtain better economy, this paper would put the energy storage device into the system.(1) The paper would summarize some common trigeneration schemes and expound the advantages and disadvantages of each scheme in detail.(2) One multifunction office building in Taiyuan was calculated and simulated by the software of DesT to get the date of the building dynamic loads. According to the simulation results, the mathematical model of the trigeneration schemes with energy storage device had been established. The paper determined the capacity of the device of each scheme with the idea of fixing power based on electricity load. Next, as the overall operating cost per day being the minimum objective function, the paper established the operation optimization of each scheme. The optimal results was got by the methods of Dynamic Programming. The result showed that the system with energy storage device and based on internal combustion engine had the lowest operating cost. The system based on gas turbine had the top operating cost.(3)In order to comprehensively evaluating the economy of each system, the paper selected the economic indicators of NPV, NPV rate and the payback period to evaluate each system. The result showed that the system with energy storage device and based on internal combustion engine had the best economy.
