Interphase spacers not only has high tensile strength, good flexibility, light weight advantages, but also has good impact resistance and resistance to dirt flash, is the best anti-dance devices developed and putted into use.However, in line area under the jurisdiction of a company in Shanxi Province, in recent years repeatedly the union board of split wire spacers and interphase spacers connection fittings accidents, in this paper aim at the fracture accidents of split wire spacers and interphase spacers connection fittings, through experiment and analysis, find out the cause of the fracture and propose some suggestions for improvement.In this paper, aim at the fracture accident of the union board of interphase spacers connection fittings, explore the causes of their fracture. Carry out chemical analysis and observer microstructure of the broken and spare the union board of interphase spacers connection fittings with JEOL JSM-6700F scanning electron microscope(SEM), TN-5400type spectrometer(EDS), DMM-400C optical microscope; carry out mechanical properties of the test of the broken and spare the union board of interphase spacers connection fittings with CMT5205electronic universal testing machine. The main findings are as follows:(1)Split wire spacers and the union board of interphase spacers connection fitting are made of cast aluminum ZL102; due to poor deterioration processing, microstructure appears a large number of needle-like and flake eutectic Si and a small amount of primary Si, so that the mechanical performance degradation; as the casting quality problems, a lot of loose, holes and other casting defects of the union board of interphase spacers connection fittings, the tensile strength, ductility, toughness of the union board of connection fittings decline significantly, leading to brittle fracture.(2)The compact transmission lines with interphase spacers, the three phase conductors do not exercise synchronized movement because of icing, and wind, will role bending, torsion loads to split wire spacers and the union board of interphase spacers connection fittings, old interphase spacers connection spacers active connections to connect rigid connection, when the force exceeds the ultimate strength, fracture will occur.For the union board of interphase spacers connection fitting emerging issues, considering a variety of factors, propose some optimization measure of materials and structures:(1)Without changing the material of the case, to be fully modification, enabling organizations to refine and improve casting quality, reduce casting defects; to improve the strength of the alloy, it is recommended to use a higher level of strength aluminum alloy ZL104; in higher voltage level area or vents and other areas, use high quality carbon structure steel Q235and foaing, to avoid casting defects.(2)In the conditions of easy to change, change original connection to hinged connection or U-ring connection, by rotating motion of links, to release the force to interphase spacers and connection fittings, and to reduce impact force to the various parts of connection fittings, and to avoid damage occurred when dancing on the wire connection fittings caused.
