Boiler slag carbon content is an important technical indicators in the boiler plantoperating conditions, effective and timely access to real-time data boiler slag carboncontent, not only conducive to guiding run adjusted accordingly to control and improveboiler combustion efficiency and boiler slag can effectively control the carbon content,help to reduce the cost of electricity, the unit running the economy improved. But for along time, and boiler slag on the carbon content has been used to obtain traditionaloffline Loss on ignition method, the resulting data tend to lag behind the actual workingconditions for several hours, is difficult to timely reflect the boiler combustion, boileroperation is not conducive to guiding combustion control adjustment. Therefore, thestudy of the boiler slag carbon content online testing technology has important practicalsignificance.This article about access to large amounts of ash carbon content detection literature,analyzed its principle of detection as well as about the advantages and disadvantages inthe practical application of. According to the actual situation of a power plant and theexisting conditions, and design a detection method proposed boiler slag carbon content ofa digital image processing technology. The idea is as follows: firstly, boiler slag specificenvironment for image acquisition; then the boiler bottom ash processing by digitalimage analysis and image processing, data derived carbon content of boiler slag; finallyget analytical processing the carbon content of the data transfer operational control to thesite for the operating personnel to provide a frame of reference for operation adjustment.The paper describes the current situation of a circulating fluidized bed boiler plantcarbon content of slag detection and actual site conditions, the analysis demonstrated theuse of digital image processing to analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of the boilerslag carbon content. On this basis, the design of the carbon content of the boiler slagdetection system, the preparation of image processing procedures, and boiler slag sametime sampling and capture an image, an analysis of the factors affecting the carboncontent of slag and boiler slag relationship between carbon content. In this paper,digital image processing to analyze the results and to compare the results of the originaldetection method, the results show that the relative error analysis results of weight losson ignition by digital image processing of bottom ash carbon content of the plants usedby less than5%, with a certain degree of accuracy; less than the entire analysis process of the method of bottom ash carbon levels with time2min, with better real-time.
