Currently, during the contemporarily evolutional process of commercial space interior design in China, due to the penetration of crossover design theories, it speeds up the changes to commercial space, meanwhile, the variety and integration of commercial space emerges and it leads to the era of high technology and more humanized design. At the same time, the characteristics of design style become more significant, conflicts in space form factors grow. In the field of Chinese contemporary commercial space design, excellent design texts emerge in an endless stream as well as the design languages. But in terms of development of commercial space, the variety of design languages brings the chaos of spatial semantic interpretation and pragmatic deletion.Regarding to the issues of contemporary commercial space design languages, researchers propose some resolutions towards to that, but most of them just stay at the level of experience summary and lack of systematic research methodologies used. As the design languages are complex, the existing styles are intricate; it is very difficult to find out a resolution which can cater for different design languages.Based on the above difficulties, this report abandons the previous design styles, by using the philosophy of building linguistics, converts languages and grammars into epistemology. Drawing from theories of commercial space design and using contemporary commercial space interior design as language text for the purpose of researching the existing issues of commercial space design languages. From the perspective of interior design, by referencing of basic rules of design language grammar in terms of design morphology and syntax analyse and summary. Additional to that, modification and utilization of rhetoric has been applied, based on the above, a method of commercial space design which is logic and systematic has been established, meanwhile, it is feasible for contemporary context.Firstly, the report describes the existing issues of contemporary commercial space interior design, one reason is entry of foreign commercial thoughts, and the other is the phenomenon of blindly follow the trend and plagiarism. Facing the conflicts from different cultural backgrounds to contemporary commercial space design, the most important thing is keep the design style, in terms of space experience, characteristics of culture, avoid the vacancy. Mixing with commercial space, marketing, consuming behaviour and cultural aesthetics, based on the philosophy of discuss and languages in the building, using basic theory of grammar as research methods, illustrates the feasibility of commercial space design as a language to research.Secondly, the report discusses the grammatical structure in commercial space interior design from the perspective of grammar, syntax, rhetoric to accomplish the framework of commercial space design; the definition of commercial space design morphology; from the perspective of interior space vocabulary to describe the construction of vocabulary, the generation of vocabulary and the real case of vocabulary usage in commercial space design; the regulation of commercial space interior space design syntax. Contemporary commercial space interior design is about the application of space syntax; analyse the outline of commercial space design syntax in terms of literary form, structure, emphasize and morphing. As well as analyse the details of the site, function division, generatrix design, detailing and expression of marketing semantic. Rhetoric includes rhetoric metrics, gestalt, expression of emotions, distinction and variety, which are used to describe the syntax in development trend, integrity, space emotion, theme expression for commercial space interior design.Lastly, the report describes the characteristics of particular design in detail based on syntactic structure, which is to validate the feasibility the basic grammar used in contemporary commercial interior design. Proposing the research and analysis in this way will be helpful for designer to understand the design process in rationality from the perspective of professional, meanwhile, it can help to analyse the variety in phenomenon of contemporary commercial space design language as well as to improve the skills and artistic culture when designers are applying commercial space interior design grammar.
