In recent years, with the improvement of auto production and sales, auto modelsproduced diversified development. That is increasingly demanding on the performance ofthe stamping. And it is a key role that the stamping mould material for stamping mouldproperties. Ductile iron is very suitable for automobile stamping production, but it is higherthat the production cost of current material of ductile iron. Galling is a common defect instamping process, and the devices of measure galling defect have many shortcomings andthe insufficiency at home and abroad. This research developed a kind of low-cost andhigh-performance nodular cast iron material that is used in automotive stamping mould.Through the alloy optimization, the different composition of nodular cast iron sample isdesigned and prepared. It is studied that influence of alloying elements on nodular cast ironmicrostructure and mechanical properties. A set of experimental devices is designed thatcan determie the mold material galling accurately, conveniently and rapidly. Then using thisdevices measure sample re-galling. Through the above analysis and research, Adding alloyelement of nodular cast iron components in Cu:0.5%, Ni:0.3%, Mo:0.3%, B:0.016%,ductile iron have good mechanical properties and galling resistance, at the same time, it haslower production cost relative to the same performance of nodular cast iron material,.Thishas important guiding significance for the enterprise stamping mould production.
