The classic spectrum estimation is an important method of the field of signalprocessing and fault diagnosis. Because of the classical spectrum estimation beingbased on Fourier transform and assuming the outside of the sample data aszero to estimate spectrum, so the spectrum and the real spectrum is not consistent.Due to the serious impact of window function, the spectral resolution and varianceperformance are poor. These drawbacks have prompted experts to seek bettermethods of spectral estimation, which led to the development of modern spectrum.Whether classical spectrum or modern spectrum, both of them are based on singlesource signal, so it’s easy to cause the miscarriage of justice that causing seriousconsequences. While full vector spectrum technology can fusion effectively thedual channel signal, and its calculation is simple and stable, fully reflects the runningstatus of equipment. This paper will consider combining the advantages of modernspectrum estimation method and the full vector spectrum technology to putforward new fault diagnosis method——full vector maximum entropy cepstrum,namely with the full vector spectrum technology as the foundation, use the maximumentropy method to estimate cepstrum, which is used to rotating machinery faultdiagnosis. The main work of this paper is as follows:1. The paper introduces the maximum entropy method and AR model spectrumestimation of modern spectrum. The paper also introduces the basic theory of the fullvector spectrum. The full vector spectrum can not only effectively fusion of dualchannel data, its another advantage is also can be effectively combined withthe method of traditional spectrum estimation.2. Full vector maximum entropy cepstrum. According to the definition ofcepstrum and application of full vector spectrum, combining the high resolution ofmaximum entropy spectral estimation based on AR model, the paper gets full vectormaximum entropy cepstrum, and through the experimental results proves the new method is not only effective and has higher resolution.3. The research of other forms of the full vector maximum entropy cepstrum.Based on the idea of entropy cepstrum, other forms of full vector maximumentropy cepstrum are discussed deeply, and the calculation formulas are given andverified by experiment.4. The selection of order of AR model based on dual channel data. AR modelorder selection is the key for spectrum estimation, through experiment to explore theproblems how to select the AR model order. And the paper gets the empiricalformula that has certain reference value.
