Rotary drilling rig is playing an increasingly important role in today’sinfrastructure construction, however, due to the limitations of the domesticrestrictions’level, rotary drilling rig has plenty of potential security risks. This articlewill focus on the analysis of the fracture accident of the connecting pin shaft betweenmast and luffing mechanism of the rotary drilling dig, and propose a simple andeffective line of research.To measure and mark the broken pin shaft, it’s judged that the pin shaft fracturebelongs to brittle fracture through the fracture morphology of the pin shaft analysis,and guess the specific reasons for the pin fracture;Through the traditional mechanical analysis of the pin, the pin’ mechanicalmodel of the seven kinds of special conditions in the state of luffing and digs drillsand raising drills is established, and calculate the stress condition. The maximumforce is obtained for the drilling conditions;The result of the pin shaft dangerous condition and stress concentrationdistribution is obtained through finite element analysis of the pin shaft in ANSYSWorkbench Static Structural module, and it’s used to judge the reason for failure;It’s used to judge the reason for failure through the analysis of the chemicalcomposition, heat treatment process and other aspects of the pin shaft;the analysis of the pin shaft hardness and microstructure is used to verify thecause of the auxiliary pin shaft fracture failure;Based on the above research, a reasonable explanation to the pin shaft fracturefailure is proposed, and put forward the corresponding measures.
