In the long geological time, due to reasons such as geological tectonic movement makecrust material to produce the internal stress effect, this stress is called in-situ stress in-situstress. In-situ stress is present in the earth’s crust is not natural stress engineering disturbed. Inactual engineering, ground stress is caused by mining, civil construction, railway, highway, water conservancy and hydropower, military and other various underground or open-airgeotechnical excavation engineering deformation and failure of the fundamental forces, is todetermine the engineering rock mechanics properties, to analyze the stability of surroundingrock, the design and implementation of geotechnical engineering excavation the necessarypremise of scientific decision-making. Complex causes, but due to the in-situ stress affectedby many factors, the measured data, combined with measurement error, often makes themeasurement results have a certain degree of discreteness and therefore must be through theappropriate and effective calculation method for the analysis of initial geostress field in orderto obtain more accurate stress field and the applicable scope is bigger. This paper studies thefollowing aspects:(1). Summarizes the research status of in-situ stress, including the in-situ stressmeasurement and inversion, etc.(2) associated with this paper introduces the application software ANSYS, MATLABand multiple regression analysis method in the application of in-situ stress inversion.(3). Using the waterfall gully hydropower station underground factory building area ofthe engineering example, has carried on the transformation of coordinates, the modeltransformation of stress component, the division of grid, then get the calculated value, fittingthe stress measured values and calculated value, and analyze the proposed synthetic fruit andits accuracy and practicability, the inversion analysis of a wide range of ground stress field.
