Radiation thermometry has been developed from the region of traditionalhigh temperature and short wave to the low temperature and long wave. The farinfrared material has excellent features. Combining the trend in development and thedemand in the market of blackbody radiation source, and according to the law of thePeople’s Republic of China textile industry far-infrared textiles of FZ/T64010-64010standard procedures, in this paper, we devised a three-cavity blackbody in lowtemperature with its test system. The innovation of the design point is from theaspects of low temperature and three-cavity to improve the traditional single cavityblackbody equipment.This system can be measured the emissivity of multiple samples in the sametemperature and the same wavelength band. It can be easy for the far-infraredemissivity measurement of textile materials, can also be studied for a variety of highemissivity coating. The hardware of the whole system is composed of three-cavityblackbody radiation source, the computer and the infrared thermometer. And design arail attachment device to put the infrared thermometer, the status that experimenterneed to manually record all kinds of data was been changed. Using programminglanguage designed a software platform, and building out an automated andconvenient test system. The work we have done in this paper is listed as below:(1) The structure of the blackbody cavity, diameter and a series of discussion.Based on experience and analytical calculations, completed the design of three-cavityblackbody’s structure and size. The basic model of the cavity was established byusing the mechanical drawing.(2) The design process of blackbody radiation’s technology. Including theselection of the cavity wall coating, the design of the cavity shape, the distribution ofthe three-cavity, the cavity material and used in place of blackbody cavity groovesdetermination of materials, etc.(3) Temperature control system’s design and selection. Including the heatingand refrigeration components, according to the request of precision to choose platinum resistance thermometer, and the medium setting, adopts the workingprinciple of the constant temperature tank of oil, etc.(4) Design of an accessory rail device. Solve the problem that manual controlinfrared thermometer was poor accuracy and instability. Improve the precision ofaiming at the center of the black body cavity.(5) Building the computer integrated system and experimental test platform.Realize the communication function is connected to the serial port between theblackbody radiation and infrared thermometer. Write programs of computer’sinterface design, data acquisition and data processing. Feedback to the all kinds ofdata on the computer, it is easy to complete the experiment, automation control, dataanalysis and measurement calibration.
