Research Of Fast3D Modeling Technology And Method For Transmission Lines

As an important part of power grid, the safe operation of transmission line is related to national economic development and social stability. With the development of fine chemical technology to the safe operation of power grid and detailed management of the grid information, developing the3D visualization system of transmission line is important to provide a method for getting the information of transmission line situation timely and visually.In this paper, the fast3D modeling method of transmission line system is researched, and a common modeling scheme is carried out. The main research contents are as follows:1. The curve equation and the correlation formula of overhead power line is developed based on the ideal assumption. A calculation method of horizontal stress is established through the mechanical analysis of overhead power line at the suspension point. Then propose a curve modeling method by using the parameters of conductor, weather, suspension point coordinates and minimum horizontal stress.2. According to analysis of the structural characteristics of transmission towers, a block-based parameterized modeling method is built. The method contains the parametric three-dimensional model of the transmission tower’s blocks and a data-driven approach. Select blocks and assemble them based on the type of tower and nominal height. By importing the parameters of blocks into their parametric models, the three-dimensional model of transmission towers can be complete quickly.3. This paper proposed a flow diagram of3D modeling program for transmission line. A program is written to realize the function of overhead power line and transmission tower modeling. By connecting the transmission line database and extract the data, the3D model of transmission line can be established immediately.Above all, this paper does a theoretical analysis of the fast3D modeling technology and methods for transmission tower line system. A program is developed to achieve the corresponding functions. It make sense to the fast modeling and developing visualization system of transmission line in various areas.
