In the area of soil-structure interaction (SSI) study, due to the presence offoundation damping, the seismic response of buildings located on soil is oftendifferent from calculated results which is under the premise of the rigid foundationassumption in current building codes. In the current construction projects, thedevelopment of large-scale construction groups are common. However, the researchof building cluster based on soil-structure interaction is still relatively less involved. Thus, the further study of the dynamic response characteristics of building clusterrelated to ground motions is necessary. In this thesis, based on the secondarydevelopment of ANSYS program by APDL language, the finite element model of alarge-scale construction groups and surface ground was built. By simulating seismicwave loaded on bedrocks, the static and dynamic response characteristics of variousbuildings can be systematic studied. The main contents are as follows:(1)The thesis analyzed the necessity of soil-structure interaction studies, summarized the results of previous studies in the SSI problem and the common typesof analytical methods for the SSI problem, it also pointed out some problems andlimitations in the current SSI research process;(2)Soil-structure interaction dynamic analysis was realized through thesecondary development of ANSYS. By using a method of boundary conditions, theuniform-excitation and multi-support excitation were calculated through two SSIdynamic finite element analysis method in the thesis. In addition, the input of bedrockearthquake wave was simulated by using the large mass method. By establishingnodes constraint equation, and the surface contact pairs between the structure and soil, the accuracy of calculations was improved; The constitutive relation of the soil andconcrete were studied in the ANSYS finite element program.(3)Research the law of structural member forces redistribution in buildings dueto non-uniform settlements of the soil caused by gravity at different space betweenbuildings.(4) Numerical solution of the SSI model was studied in this thesis; the reasonablevalue of the remote boundaries distance on direction parallel to the vibration input inthis model was figured out, and the finite element mesh density was studied in thisthesis; By using different method of earthquake wave excitation, and inputting the seismic wave with different characteristics, the dynamic response characteristics ofthe construction groups and were presented, the law of the results was discussed in thethesis. By researching the vibration characteristics of the free field, this thesis alsoanalyzed the reasons for differences in the dynamic response of construction groups. The research results showed that regardless of static or dynamic response of thestructures, the mutual influence of the building cluster with surface ground taken intoaccount can cause internal forces and displacements significantly different from thesingle building when their space is too narrow. However, on the contrary, mutualinfluence of construction groups is negligible.
