Proportional solenoid, as the electromechanical conversion element, itsperformance has a great influence on the performance of control components and thewhole system. In this paper, through the analysis of the present situation of domesticand foreign research on proportional electromagnet, know that there is still a gapbetween the domestic and foreign research level. Therefore, the paper takesproportional solenoid as an object to research the solving methods of the magneticvector potential and apply it on the calculation of the inductance of the proportionalsolenoid, which is of great significance for the optimization design and performanceimprovement of proportional solenoid. In this paper, by reviewing the relevant literature, this paper introduces the basicstructure of the proportional electromagnet. Taking the two-dimensional staticmagnetic fields as the background, the paper introduces the basic principle of finiteelement method and the finite element equations of two-dimensional static magneticfield, and the application of finite element method in the nonlinear magnetic field. The paper uses finite element method of two dimensional static magnetic field, the finite element model of proportional solenoid was established. According to therelationship between the vector magnetic potential and magnetic field energy, the paperexpounds how to solve the magnetic field energy and inductance of the proportionalsolenoid. On the basis of theoretical analysis, the paper draws a flow chart of programof numerical calculation of the proportional solenoid, completes the numericalcalculation program with FORTRAN language, debugs the program and calculation, then obtains the magnetic field energy and inductance of the proportional solenoidsolution.
