| In recent years, the incidence of breast cancer is the first in female malignant tu-mor incidence.which has become a serious hidden danger to women’s physical andmental health. Traditional detection methods such as ultrasound and molybdenum tar-get X-ray examination, are not the best means of early detection, because of their dis-advantages. Gamma camera has the function of functional imaging and high resolu-tion, so that the detection of breast cancer has in comparable advantages.It has been a history of dozens of years that NaI crystal as the detector material ofgamma camera.But with the progress of science and technology, the material cannotmeet the new requirements of the technical field detector. Benefited from the rapiddevelpment of tech-electronic industry, new semiconductor detector entered people’sfield of vision. The advantages of CZT crystals make it the most popular of the detector.Based on the excellent characteristics of CZT crystals, this research develop thelatest CZT semiconductor detector gamma camera for breast cancer. This papermainly do the following several aspects:Firstly, based on the work of the GATE program, the first part of this pa-per make Monte Carlo simulation for CZT semiconductor detector through GATE pro-gram.According to the simulation results, the paper verify the characteristics of CZTcrystal, and do the performance evaluation of CZT semiconductor detectorgamma camera.Secondly, the second part of this work is the design of CZT semiconductor detectorgamma camera. According to performance results of the first step,the second part de-sign the whole detector module, collimator module and the subsequent electronics cir-cuit module.Thirdly, according to the NEMA standard of nuclear medicine instru-ment,this part test the performance of CZT semiconductor gamma camera and correctthe data. Mainly include the test of spatial resolution, energy resolution,homogene-ity and spatial linearity.Finally, the paper summarizes the achievements and shortcomings of the re-search, the next step of research topics are also discussed. |
