With the rapid growth of China’s high mileage and road passenger transport of thetotal, the role of bus on the highway passenger transportation become more important.The security issues of bus has become the focus of attention of the community. Becauseof large capacity, when the rollover occurred, often resulting in serious personnel deadand injured, resulting in extremely bad social impact. So it has very important practicalsignificance to study how to improve the bus side roll stability.First, a bus vehicle multi-body dynamics model is established in the software ofADAMS/Car based on a certain type of bus in the article. Second, Combiningtheoretical research and simulation methods to analyze the factors affecting the stabilityof bus rollover. Through the comparison and analysis of roll stability evaluation index,determined the rollover state characteristic parameter. Third,3-DOF warning ReferenceModel is established. Through simulation to study the anti-rollover warning and controlsystem trigger conditions. Fourth, With the method of differential brake as the activeside of the control system of double actuators. With lateral acceleration as feedbackcontrol signals, designing a controller based on PID control algorithm, by means ofdifferential braking to brake the front axle of the lateral tyre. The last, The software ofADAMS/Car and MATLAB/Simulink software simulation are used to co-simulation,verify the effectiveness of anti-rollover warning and control system.The simulation results showed that: The design of anti-rollover warning andcontrol system can achieve the buses running rollover state monitoring in the paper.When the trigger condition is reached controller timely early warning signals. And byactive control system enables the bus wheels turning inside of the vertical reaction forceremain above0, the absolute value of dynamic lateral load transfer rates less than1, andeffectively reducing the response threshold roll angle of the centroid. Proved therollover warning and control system can effectively improve the bus side tumblingstability and prevent rollover accidents.
