Rapid economic development in western China is promoting transportation moreconvenient, safe and environmentally.Taking into account the protection of mountainenvironment, highway of mountain are mostly in the form of tunnel or viaduct currentlyand bridge pile foundation are constructing on different highwall such as micro slope,gentle slope, steep slope, very steep slope etc.Therefore, in addition to withstandingaxial load and upper horizontal load, it also withstands lateral earth pressure from thehighwall. Bridge pile foundation of highwall section is in complex geological environ-ments. There is relatively little study on such highwall at present, it doesn’t have acomplete theoretical system, nor can be designed and guided by conventional method ofcalculation.In this paper, we make a simulation analysis by the large nonlinear finiteelement software Abaqus,achieve the stress and displacement of highwall depends ondefferent forms and combinations of load.We make comparative analysis on the factorswhich impacting the stress and deformation of such highwall. The main contents are asfollows:①Firstly,we combine its own features of highwall’s bridge foundation to make acomprehensive analysis about its bearing mechanism and force characteristics. Studyingthe load transfer process, building the force differential equations of different featuressections, and using power series solution to obtain solving method for flexing deforma-tion of highwall.②We classify highwall according to the size of slope, take introduction of theconcept of carrier medium slope, and summarize the slope slip chain reaction is the ma-terial reflects of the medium carrier. The chain evolution of medium carrier describe thecharacteristics of landslide slip process.Based on this, we analyse forms of distributionand calculation methodsof landslide thrust and resistance form and method of calcula-tion about landslide thrust and resistance force.③Three-dimensional numerical model of the Project through the pile-soil interac-tion get: load impact on the pile in the order as follows: crest uniform load> pile verticalload> pile lateral load. Combination of loads, the pile deflection occurs, with the pilediameter increases, reducing the horizontal displacement of the pile. ④Deformation in this case is greater than the deformation of the steep section ofthe pile segment gentle pile and pile bearing capacity is less than the carrying capacityof the steep section of the gentle slope segment pile. In the design of the ramp section ofthe pile, the pile diameter or reinforcement of its design should depend on the size rangeof the slope.⑤In this case the elastic modulus of the soil increased significantly limits the de-formation of the pile and the pile of soil reduces the level of stress. In addition, the rockpile in the case under the bridge pile foundation stress values within the specified toler-ance range. Therefore, no additional measures against sliding slope.
