Numerical simulation of crack processing between steel reinforcement and concreteare always hot and difficult topics in finite-element analysis of compsite structure.According to the basis of Extended Finite Element Method, this paper is forced onimproving the accuracy of cracking path and trying to implement the Extended FiniteElement Method in a real problem. Relying on the “the application of continuous rigidbridge with composite structure of SWFC in Tibet area”,which is department oftransportation construction projects carried out under supervision of ProfessorZhixiangzhou, the main contents of this paper are summarized as follows:①Based on the review of Extended Finite Element Method (XFEM), this paperdeduced the relationship between the stress intensity factor and nodal displacement. It alsodeveloped the matrixexpression of level set function using the PoU interpolation function.②Based on Extended Finite Element Method (XFEM) of Abaqus,a new matlab codefor XFEM implement was introduced. This difference between the new code and Abaqusreflect on the new decision criterion of cracking and the crack tip enrichment function.③The new code has implement four example (Edge crack in the infinite plate, inclined crack in tension, edge crack under tension, two cracks emanating from holes in aplate under tension),and the results demonstrated the robust of the new code. Thecalculation also express the new code is independent of the density of mesh and the shapeof the element. What’s more, the code operate very fast and accuracy.④3D finite element model of SWFC reinforced concrete beams are been built, whichimplement on the concrete damage plasticity modal and XFEM. Comparing with resultunder the concrete damageplasticity model and experiment date, the result of cracking pathunder the XFEM has good agreement with the experimental date.
