The Application Study Of The Mediterranean Style In Chinese Interior Design

This thesis emphasizes the application of Mediterranean style in modern Chinese interior design. And tries to explore the specific application method in modern Chinese interior design by using various research methods such as documentary method, inductive method and case method etc..Firstly, this thesis analyzes the related elements of interior design and interior design style with literature research method, it summarizes the characteristics of space, interface, color, decoration, materials, furniture and furnishing, which provides the theoretical framework for the further study of the application of Mediterranean style.Secondly, the author tries to analyzes the core designing ideas "nature" and "free" in Mediterranean interior design style and the basic characteristics of spatial modeling, color collocation, material characteristics and decorations, and finally gets four designing nodes, respectively,"permeability" and "transparent" in space node,"change" and "constant" in color node,"true" and "smart" in material node,"canon" and "elegant" in furnishings decoration node. And it provides theoretical basis for the application of Mediterranean interior designing style in contemporary Chinese interior design.Thus, through the comparative method, It started from these two parts:the understanding of the external morphological characteristics and the borrowing of internal culture connotation. On one hand, the application and expression of external morphological characteristics mainly includes"borrowing the form directly","refining the meaning", to shape the external characteristics. On the other hand, by "Culture and linking" of internal cultural connotation includes "harmonious beauty" and "back to nature" designing concept in the process of the shaping Mediterranean interior designing style from both physical and psychical.Meanwhile, through the case study, it analysis the specific designing case to demonstrate the results of the study. And finally, in order to study this kind of style more objectively, the author makes some analysis on the limitations and the development trend of the Mediterranean interior design style.
