Research And Application Of Public Transport Vehicles’ Full Life Cycle Maintenance And Management

Public vehicles’ life cycle is from being put into use to scrap, includingpreventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance. At present, in bus company theinformation management of vehicles is in some stage of the full life cycle of vehicleand not through the whole life cycle. At the same time, the data management ofvehicles still rely on manual record books, even though in some enterprises that useinformation system to manage data, the data is distributed physically. This will lead tothe management of vehicles’ life cycle is disconnected and the information is notsmooth in the departments, which is easy to form isolated information island.In this paper, firstly, based on the long-term research in the operation of the vehicleduring its life cycle, we divided preventive maintenance data and repair data in vehicleslife cycle into BOM and managed and maintenance the connection between each BOM.Based on all data in vehicles’ life cycle, a single source of data has been established toprovide a unique and a unified whole logically data source for accessing andmanipulating data. Then, upon analyzing the requirements, the vehicle life cyclemanagement system has been designed and implemented. Finally, based on the OLAPtechnology, we try to analyze the hidden and useful information in the data to providedecision basis for management.
