Masonry structure is applied in our country’s long history,China is currently amajor type of housing buildings, has been widely used in a variety of public and civilconstruction, cracks in the uneven subsidence problems are very common, but also theneed to solve the problem. In this paper, the produce mechanism and control measures of cracks in masonrystructure in classification, under uneven subsidence are summarized, analysis andcomparison of the characteristics of the constitutive relationship of masonry structureand the finite element modeling method.By using the finite element analysis softwareANSYS, the separated modeling method, on two different masonry model withcontact element and did not join the contact unit, carried out in the central sinkingwall finite element analysis of crack development under the action of. By observingthe cracks in the wall, the wall stress of the development trend of the finite elementcalculation results are analyzed and summarized. The paper comes to the conclusion: in the middle of the wall in the settlementprocess, first in the central vertical mortar joint micro cracks, and cracks in the wall atboth ends of the transverse tensile rigid foundation upper, middle level along the wallcrack mortar, crack distributed horizontally from the bottom up gradually, when theload to a certain degree, the wall on both sides along the joint gap generate horizontaland vertical, at first is not obvious, but with the load applied continuously, will atsome point along the joint development through, ladder like distribution, crackpositively roughly eight distribution. Wall at both ends of the settlement process, theupper part of the first wall cracking down gradually expanded the scope of theMinistry of regional subsidence cracks in the wall portion substantially "invertedcharacter" distribution. The crack trend roughly and central settlement instead. The regularity of fracture and practical analysis of the regularity of roughlycoincides with contact element in the analysis, proved the validity and applicability ofcracking of masonry structure characteristics in detail, which provides a method forfuture research.
