Since motor vehicle exhaust and factory smoke emissions in recent years, the daybeing more severe haze and the air quality is getting worse.coupled with the increasingdepletion of energy resources, the environmental problem is getting people’s attention.Bycontrast, Electric cars with no pollution, and low price. So the electric car industry will bean important means of green transportation. As a kind of electric car motor, permanentmagnet brushless DC motor (Permanent magnet brushless DC motor, BLDCM) has asimple structure, small size, good operating characteristics and other significantadvantages, widely used in household appliances, office areas, industrial automation, aerospace and other fields. At the same time due to our country’s rare earth resources arevery abundant, it provides raw materials for the permanent magnet brushless DC motor. So this is designed for the permanent magnet brushless DC motor and its simulation andresearch. In the background on the subject on the basis of simple analysis, firstly this paperintroduces the structure, system composition, the basic principle of BLDCM, and its drivesystem were introduced. Secondly, the main design of a rated voltage60V, rated power1.5KW, rated speed3600r/min permanent magnet brushless DC motor and built aprototype, and then use Ansoft software Rmxpt module simulation experiments withMaxwell2D model finite element analysis, a simple analysis of its characteristic curve, torque ripple, etc., On this basis hardware BLDCM drive system were selection andsimple design. This design choice ST produced STM32F051to be the micro controller forits stable performance, more peripheral interface with faster data processing. Finally, theexperimental test platform and test methods motor are introduced and other motorperformance compared to verify the accuracy of this done by design and reliability.
