| Performance analysis of space surveillance network is a significant constitute ofthe space surveillance system, which playing a important role in system effectivenessevaluation, scheduling management and effective use of space target measurementnetwork, meanwhile support for design argumentation of the space target surveillanceequipment, scheduling optimization of system resources, as well as the systemperformance analysis under a variety of condition, etc.In this paper, we discuss the performance of the ground-based space surveillancenetwork, by simulation and data analysis. In order to perform detailed simulation, theorbital distribution and characteristics of space targets were analyzed, also the taskdemand of the space target surveillance network were analyzed. A radar detectingspace target model were designed based on the understanding of the target orbitcharacteristics and radar principle. Then various factors influencing the targetdetecting was analyzed, includes: the target orbital characteristic, RCS and brightnessdistribution, the type, performance, quantity, location of the monitor networkdetection equipment, and observation resource scheduling allocation strategy in themonitoring network were analyzed. Specifically the influences of the accuracy oftarget catalog caused by the observation data rate, observation data precision andcataloging orbit determination algorithm were analyzed.On the basis of the above analysis and study, space surveillance networkperformance analysis software was designed, in order to understand the currentsituation of space and to provide powerful information support and service forestablishment of the scheduling scheme of the optimized equipment task. |
