| Containerization can bring many benefits for transportation, which can improve speed aswell as cover the cost. But there are many empty containers due to the imbalance of trade betweenthe port and many factories or warehouses. Generally, international trade cargoes are transportedby containers, while little research has done on the empty contianers to transport cargoes near theport. Of course, the dual-load container transport (empty containers carry regional cargoes) has avery high profit, but usually with little amount, and not a single commercial model was formed.Accordingly, data analysis and problem description about container dual-laod transport wereresearched, and a mathematic model about empty containers carry regional cargoes was discussedin this paper, and a optimization using GA was conducted upon this model.On this basis, the demand analysis upon the management system of container dual-loadtransport was discused, this paper constructed system construction of this management systemand main functional module. Finally, the database and operating mode of management systemwere designed and realized.At the case study, a set of real statistics was used in order to enhance the reliability of theresults. It can be concluded from our research that empty containers carry cargoes can be operateat scale, and the cost-benefit ratio of each regional cargo can be calculated. |
