With the improvement of quality in life and the development of industry,dehumidifying technology becomes more and more important,but the method oftraditional dehumidification will consume much of energy. In different research andreport, the energy for dehumidifying account for10%~15%of the total energy in USA,France, Canada and the UK, and20%~25%of the total energy in Denmark andGermany. In order to save energy with dehumidifying, it is necessary to research thedehumidifying technology.In this paper, we put forward the basic principle of microwave heating anddehumidifying. Combining with the characteristics of microwave heating, analysis thedifferent in microwave heating and conventional heating. Using the lumped parametermethod to analysis the process of heat and mass transfer in microwave heating anddehumidifying and electric heating dehumidifying device, establish the one-dimensionalmathematical modelWe use the software of COMSOL Multiphysics as the simulation tool. Undercertain conditions, analysis and simulate the process of regeneration in the microwaveheating and dehumidifying device and electric heating and dehumidifying device,getting the curves of air temperature、moisture,desiccant temperature、the adsorptionrate within120s at micro channel; By changing the power of microwave, get the curvesof microwave heating power and the average of desiccant adsorption rate within acertain range; By comparing the average of dehumidifying ratios is equal of the twodevices in120s, get the energy saving ratios of microwave heating dehumidifyingdevice relative electric heating and dehumidifying device.By changing the relative humidity of entrance air in regeneration process, get thecurves of the regeneration air’s relative humidity and adsorption’s dehumidifying ratesin two devices, and get the optimal air relative humidity of microwave heatingdehumidifying device relative electric heating and dehumidifying device.By changing the thickness of the desiccant and simulation analysis, get the curvesof the water reduction in desiccant、adsorption rates and desiccant’s thickness, pointsout the range of desiccant thickness.With adding waveguide in microwave heating dehumidification device’s inlet andoutlet and simulation analysis, get the advantages and disadvantages of improved devicerelative original one.Analysis of the possibility of dehumidifying device combing with evaporativecooling technology, put forward the suitable desiccant during time. Through the simulation of this project, we can provide references for theapplication of microwave heating and dehumidification device.
