Permanent magnet motor has been more and more wildly used in the areasas aerospace, automotive electronics,precision machine tools and militaryweapons.Motors applied in above occasions require both high performanceindexes and high reliability indexes.Due to the great differences in motorworking environment and conditions,short-time and high overload motors arealso different in reliability with permanent magnet motors of long-time woringsystem.Reserch on the raliability of the latter is relatively complete,while of thefomer is not so mature.If we use the same method to reseach the fomer,there willbe deviations and the reliability indexes will be ethier too large or too small.Sothis text carries out the following research on motor reliability.Firstly,to analyze the reliability of permanent magnet motor,we begin withthe research of reliability model, the analysis method and the evaluate ofreliability indexes.As to the short-term and high overload permanent magnetmotors,its unique working environment and conditions makes it different in itsanalysis and evaluation.We need to simplify the reliability model depending onthe motor characteristics and focus on the most meaningful part.Then the analysis mainly deals with the winding insulation and permanentmagnets concerning about the interaction in the Permanent magnet motor.Experiment is carried out to gain the change of the parameters and then lifemodel is founded based on what we get in the experiment.We also need toexamine whether the model is suitable for the life distribution.Finally,the integration of performance indexes and reliability indexes shallbe put into use in motor design.On the basis of motor performance optimization,reliability optimization chooses the best reliability indexes as the pursure andmakes the motor have a better combination in its performance and reliability.Theresults of the life mofel are used in prototype to reseach how to increase thereliability indexes.The reliability of permanent magnet motors and the method ofmotor design are improved after the optimization of motor structure and thereduce of motor loss and temperature rise.
