The damper installed between the satellite and its flexible structure is mainlyused for suppressing the vibration of the flexible structure and reducing the effectsof the vibration to the satellite body. The performance of the damper has a directimpact on the stability of the satellite body. so it is necessary to design specializedtest equipment to conduct the performance analysis. In this paper, we design the testequipment of the damper used for the satellite solar panels to test its performanceand provide the basis for further optimization of the damper.Based on the principle of the viscoelastic damper, this paper proposed thedesign of the test system first. The scheme include the scheme of the test system forthe complex stiffness, the analog solar design based of the finite element and thetest scheme of the solar panels. Then design the hardware and software of thecomplex stiffness test system, and conduct a complex stiffness test for the damperon the system and then analyze the result. At last we conduct the test by the way ofmounting the damper on the actual solar panels and then analysis the result.The focus of this paper is the design of the complex stiffness test system andthe test of the solar panels. The task of the complex stiffness test system is toanalyze the overall performance of the damper. Firstly the paper design thehardware and software for the test system, then process the tested data and conductthe result analysis, and according these we get the curve of the damping propertiesversus the temperature. The test of the solar panels is to complete the task of testingthe damping performance on the actual work situation when the damper mounted onthe solar panels. The paper gets the actual damping performance of the damperwhich mounted on the solar panels by random excitation test and free vibration test.Using the designed complex stiffness test system, by the test of complexstiffness and the test of the solar panels, this paper completes the testing tasks of thepre-designed damper performance indicators for the topic, providing a basis for theoptimize of the damper in last stage. completes the test task of the damper.
