Prefabricated Cage System is a new reinforced concrete System with strongbearing capacity, good ductility, construction fast, etc. Prefabricated CageReinforced Concrete Beams is a transverse bearing member, it is an importantmechanical components. Since the shear behavior of Prefabricated CageReinforced Concrete Beams is still in blank. The research group studied theshear behavior of Prefabricated Cage Reinforced Concrete Beams. The paper’smain research contents and results are organized as follows:Firstly, the shear behavior experimental research of ten test beams underconcentrated load (8Prefabricated Cage Reinforced Concrete Beams and2concretereinforced beams) was conducted, the main research parameters were the shear spanratio, steel ratio of steel webs and inclination of webs. Test results show that:(1) Thesteel sheet cage provides lateral constraint limits to the core concrete which enhancesthe compressive strength of the core concrete, the steel sheet cage also constrains thedeformation of the concrete which improves the stiffness and bearing capacity of thebeam.(2) The damage process of Prefabricated Cage Reinforced Concrete Beamsunder concentrated load is similar to those of reinforced concrete beams, but thebearing capacity and the ductility of Prefabricated Cage Reinforced Concrete Beamsare better than reinforced concrete beams;(3) The shear bearing capacity ofPrefabricated Cage Reinforced Concrete Beams reduce with the increase of the shearspan ratio.(4) The shear bearing capacity of Prefabricated Cage Reinforced ConcreteBeams reduce with the increase of steel ratio of steel webs (5) the shear capacity ofthe Prefabricated Cage Reinforced Concrete Beams varies with the change of theangle of steel webs, the maximum shear capacity approached at45degrees;Secondly, the calculation of the shear capacity of Prefabricated Cage ReinforcedConcrete Beams is based on truss-arch mode, which can accurately reflect the effectof material on the shear capacity when considered the steel cage constrain effect toconcrete. The ultimate shear bearing capacity deduced by the theoretic formulacoincide with the experimental results.
