Smart Home is an emerging field in recent years, which blends networkcommunication technologies and automatic control technologies. Smart Home is stillin its initial phase of development but boasts broad space for development. Thedissertation accomplished the design and realization of a Smart Home system basedon Android Operating System and Wi-Fi technology.First of all, the dissertation introduces Smart Home briefly and summarizes thedevelopment and research status of Smart Home systems and relevant keytechnologies. Then it ascertains the technical solution of network communication andthe Operating System of the control terminal for the Smart Home system via research,analysis and comparison. And finally, it puts forward the overall solution. From afunctional standpoint, the Smart Home system is divided into two main sections: theAndroid monitoring platform and the data acquisition terminal. The former isdesigned based on the Android Operating System to realize remote monitoring, whilethe latter realizes transmission of control and communication signals with the use ofan AVR SCM and is also responsible for part of local control functions. Together, theyform a Smart Home system through interaction.Finally, various tests on the Smart Home system are performed. The performanceof the system during the testing phase is good, which indicates that it boasts goodstability and reliability. The system can realize such functions as remote videosurveillance, remote control of home devices, smart turn-on of home devices,alarming and so on. And it runs stably.
