The ferroelectric material caused by hysteresis loop characteristics with the spontaneouspolarization, can be widely used in memory device, image display and information storagedevices and so on. The measurement of the ferroelectric material hysteresis loops and I-Vcharacteristics can determine important parameters related ferroelectric materials, testing ofmaterial properties is good or bad. Development of hysteresis loops and voltage characteristicmeasuring system has an important role and significance of the research, development andapplication of ferroelectrics.This paper analyzes the law of the ferroelectric polarization of electric domains,established the intrinsic ferroelectric hysteresis loop model,which provides a theoretical basisfor compensating of hysteresis loop. By improving the signal conditioning circuitry, combinedwith virtual instruments structure and LabVIEW8.2, a ferroelectric material hysteresis looptest system were developed.The testing results of PZT sample shows that the numericalcompensation method can effectively compensate the influence induced by leakage resistanceand capacitance and get a more genuine hysteresis loop to meet the application requirementsof ferroelectric materials testing.I-V characteristics can accurately determine the important characteristics of ferroelectricmaterials. the domestic test equipment lack of direct measurement of the leakage current. Inthis paper, by extending the hysteresis loop test system,a volt-ampere characteristicmeasurement module was designed, the module can test voltage characteristics of theferroelectric material quickly and accurately. This measurement module is based on themeasurement principle of the circuit voltage characteristics and used labview virtualinstrument programming language.It implements software control measurement process anduse computer for data acquisition, the results display, storage and analysis.Based on the establishment of the above intrinsic ferroelectric hysteresis loop modelequations, numerical measurement process proposed compensation method was developed through the circuit improvement and software design, used the developed ferroelectrichysteresis loop measurement system, It is to expand to achieve the ferroelectric I-Vmeasurements. The test results show that the system can quickly and accurately measure theferroelectric material hysteresis loops and leakage current characteristics.for the furtherdevelopment and application of ferroelectric materials,It provide an effective solution.
