| As China’s urbanization advancement is speeding up unceasingly, theconstruction of small-medium cities has entered the phase of rapid development, thequality of which has a direct impact on its image development process. However, thenew traffic demand being soaring, the traffic pressure during morning and eveningrush hour being increasing, along with the scarce original urban road network trafficcapacity, makes the traffic congestion problem increasingly prominent, which, isbecoming the bottleneck of the healthy development of small-medium cities. As oneimportant way to alleviate urban traffic congestion problem, an efficient,safe trafficsignal control system plays a vital role in equalizing the traffic flow distribution,lowering the stop play and reducing the number of parking and the emissions.This paper is depending on the key research project of the Ministry of PublicSecurity Policing coordinated traffic signal control system based on the technologyof the internet things, supported by The Key Lab of Urban ITS TechnologyOptimization and Integration in Ministry of Public Security, this paper puts forwarda traffic signal control method for urban areas which effectively relieves thecongestion of the intersection during morning and evening rush hours. It analyzes thereal-time intersection traffic information parameters collected by sensors below theintersections to build the algorithm model for traffic signal control based on thetechnology of queue relocation control, establishes the traffic signal optimizing andtiming plan for regional road and dynamically balances the space occupancy ofregional road.The achievement of this paper mentioned above has been applied in FengHuacity ZheJiang Province,which to some extent relieves the queue overflowing andcongestion of key intersections and gets well social and economic benefit. |
