With the dramatic increase in ownership of the elevator, tremendous energy consumptionhas aroused widespread concern in the community, and the energy efficiency of the elevatorhas become an important factor affecting the efficiency of the national electricity. To establishreasonable and effective evaluation methods of energy efficiency can provide technicalsupport to energy-related regulations and standards, and promote the development andapplication of energy-saving technologies. Against the energy efficiency of elevator, thispaper proposes an evaluation method of energy efficiency based on the study of tractionelevators.In order to study the factors affecting energy consumption traction elevator, this paperdescribes the mechanical structure and working principle of traction elevator. According to thetraction systems and drive systems, traction elevator dynamics model is established.According the traction elevator dynamics model, this paper studies the factors of energyconsumption, and analyze of the influencing factors, such as operating environment, tractionmachine form, energy feedback devices, balancing factor, elevator maximum acceleration,and running load stroke.With the study of the measurement solutions of elevator energy, the instantaneous powermethod is used to measure the power consumption of the elevator. Depending on theoperating characteristics of the traction elevator, the characteristics of energy consumption isresearches, including start-energy, uniform energy and brake energy. This paper discusses themeasurement solutions of elevator energy, and measuring power consumption of the elevatorin no-load operation and full operation.To study the evaluation of elevator’s operation efficiency, this paper discusses theevaluation index of operation energy efficiency, and analyzes three operating efficiencyevaluation method, include: Analog Condition Method, Typical Condition Method and NoLoad Method; Three methods are simulated operation by motor experiment. Experimentalresults show that it can reflect the energy value of the elevator that using power consumptionof one thousand meters per ton as energy efficiency evaluation. Analog Condition Method issuitable to use in basic researches; Typical Condition Method can be used for on-siteevaluation of energy efficiency. No Load Method is suitable for the qualitative detection.Finally, this paper analyzes the Level5classification principles of energy efficiency, andproposed the evaluation methods of overall energy efficiency. With dividing the elevator intofour categories, this paper studies elevator grading standards of standby energy efficiency and operation energy efficiency, and proposed criteria for the classification of the overall energyefficiency of elevator based on this theory. By analyzing the practical application ofevaluation method of energy efficiency, the proposed method considers the use of categoriesand standby power consumption as factors, and it is more scientific. The proposed method hasbeen adopted to 《DB61》.
