Cold recycling technology is the use of dedicated recycling machinery at roomtemperature to complete milling and crushing of the old pavement structure layer includingthe surface layer and part of basic level, and then adds recycled material, fulfills mixing,paving, compaction and other operations processes, finally re-forms a process of the structurelayer having carrying capacity. However, it has not been universal design methods of coldregeneration in the world at present. It leads to different experiment result because of thevarious countries have adopted different materials and scientific research equipment.Compared with other developed countries, cold recycled asphalt pavement in our country isstill in the exploratory stage, and exists low utilization rate of the old material, slowdevelopment of early strength, needing long time to block traffic and other technical problems.Therefore this paper has on a further research of early strength type emulsified asphalt coldrecycled mixture.This article analyzes the common form of pavement damage and technical nature of theold asphalt road surface material. It evaluates the gradation of RAP and recycling asphaltaging degree, analyzes the mechanism of RAP and emulsified asphalt and the intensityforming principle and influence factors of emulsified asphalt cold recycled mixture.It is carried through experiment to design the mix proportion of cement and emulsifiedasphalt cold recycled mixture using of cement and emulsified asphalt as a recycling agents,determined the synthetic mixture gradation proportion of old and new material for2:8andoptimum moisture content for6.5%. Pavement performance is used to proving the bestcement content and the best dosage of emulsified asphalt. At the same time considering thehigh temperature rutting resistance and water stability, the mechanical properties and roadperformance of early strength type are optimal when the emulsified asphalt content is6%andearly strength cement dosage is2%.The existing international cold regeneration pavement structure design method isreferenced to build a relatively complete set of cold reclaimed asphalt pavement structuredesign method in combination with the practical situation of project. Considering the minimum thickness of cold regeneration pavement layer, milled pavement is put forward todo as the bearing layer, and placing the regeneration layer, the above layer together constitutethe three layers elastic system mechanics models. The regeneration layer as a design isproceeded structure design in accordance with the design method of asphalt modification.Finally this paper introduces the construction technology of cold regeneration technology,quality control, and its economic and social benefits.
