| The saline soil is a kind of special soil that has the property of salt expansion. The mainfactors which influence the property of salt expansion are temperature, salt, moisture content,degree of compaction and additional load. Based on the previous researches in the property ofsalt expansion of coarse grain, in this paper, the fine particle soil sand, fine-grained sand andfine gravel soil, which have the typical particle size of combination that well manuallyconfigured, have been carried out to test their engineering characters, the soil expansioncharacters that under the role of a single factor about their sulfate and sulfite saline soil.Through these experiments, we focus on the characteristics of coarse-grained saline soil thatunder a single factor like temperature, salt, moisture content, degree of compaction andadditional load. Also we get the salt expansion laws of coarse-grained saline soil. Theseresults will provide a foundation to the coming researches about the sensitive parameters andthe corresponding controlling factors for the deformation behavior of coarse-grained salinesubgrade.In addition, the prediction model of salt expansion ratio is established using the artificialneural network(ANN) technology in the platform of MATLAB. The model is a very classicalthree layers BP-model, and the hidden layer has13nodes, that make the network hasminimum error(res) of0.0014. After analysis the prediction results of the model, it’sobviously show that this model is applicable in predicting the coarse-grained saline soil’s saltexpansion rate. |
