Effects Of SBS Modification Agent On The Performance Of Asphalt And Asphalt Mixture

Asphalt pavement in our country under the action of traffic load and environmentalfactors in a variety of apparent early disease, conventional asphalt concrete is difficult to meetthe needs of the current traffic load, is to try various pavement structure type and to adapt tothe characteristics of the pavement materials. For the adjustment of the pavement structure isrelatively complex project, more so now in the road surface material adding modifier toimprove the road performance. In the commonly used additives, the SBS modifier because ofits excellent performance, process simple and easy to promotion and has been widely used.This paper mainly discusses the SBS modifier of asphalt and asphalt mixture are analyzed. Inthis paper, the main research contents and conclusions are as follows:In the first place in the test room on preparation technology of SBS modified asphaltbinder are discussed, and then studied the influence of different dosage of asphalt technicalperformance indicators, on the basis of the SBS asphalt mixture gradation design, studied thedifferent content of SBS impact on road performance of asphalt mixture. At the same time,combined with the needs of the engineering projects, the shearing properties of asphaltmixture was tested. On its pavement performance test, high temperature performance usingrutting test; Water stability adopted immersing Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test;Adopted the trabecular test performance under low temperature and shear performancewithout confining compression test and the splitting tensile test.Through experiment to share the SBS effect on the performance of asphalt and asphaltmixture, combine actual engineering, for the SBS asphalt roadbed construction method andquality evaluation are discussed. Through the study of this article, but for SBS modifiedasphalt mixture design and construction has a certain theoretical guidance.
