With the improvement of the national infrastructure and the establishment of the highwaynetwork, a large number of high pier bridges have appeared, highway bridge piers form isvaried, including double column pier, hollow thin-walled pier, gravity pier, the differentforms of piers is suitable for different height. However the double column pier of30metershigh and35meters are widely used in highway bridges due to its better bearing capacity, convenient construction, economical, and good stability. Our country region is in anearthquake-prone belt, however bridge as the lifeline engineering will accept the test ofearthquake. At the same time, the recent earthquake has caused a lot of people dead, part ofthe bridge beam, the overall collapse and pier shear failure phenomenon, it reminds us that itis important of the seismic performance of bridge structure. The paper will be based on“theresearch on highway bridges pier structure analysis”[1]for the seismic analysis, that is taking aresearch on the double column high pier of seismic object. The main research contentsinclude:(1) This paper have take a research on FengXin to TongGu highway about seismicanalysis, and take the Daixi viaduct as the research object, using different finite elementanalysis method for seismic analysis of the bridge, mainly includes the time history analysis, response spectrum method and pushover method; The calculation results are checked andcombined with specification, get the double column pier’s seismic performance; and theresults of three common seismic analysis were compared.(2) By adjusting the constraint of the bridge to discuss different bearing effect on the highpier bridge seismic and the structural stability. The results show that the rubber supports withbasin has a good damping and stability effect on high pier bridge.(3) In this paper, stiffness on the vibration of the bridge piers are studied, mainly discussesthe bridge pier height, cross section form and stiffness uneven distribution effect on thestructural seismic.
