Since the reform and opening up, along with the national economy rapidly developing andpeople’s disposable income significantly improving, vacation and tourism had become oneof the main choices to relax. Meanwhile, due to the continuous improvement of moderntransport, the temporal and spatial distance between peoples had been greatly reduced, whichmake it becomes more and more convenient to travel tourism. Thus, tourism would not onlybe a kind of luxury activity of a minority of rich people, which had evolved into mostpeople’s existence. With the changes of people’s attitudes to live and consumption levels, avariety of tourist hot sprung up around the world. And today’s travel patterns have changedfrom the traditional sightseeing tour into a leisure tourist; especially it has become a commonphenomenon to choose a beautiful natural landscape and diverse landscape holiday resort.Because of the special nature of its geographical location of resorts, the thinking to thebuildings of resorts can not only just stay in the building itself," introverted " type of factors, such as building materials, shape, scale, etc. And more and more attention have been paid onthe integration of the buildings’"outward " with the landscapes which has become the focusof attention and direction of practice of architects. Due to the special needs of leisure, it isparticularly important that to closely integrate architecture with natural landscape andmaximize the utilization of the natural landscape in the design of architectural resortcompared with other types of buildings. This article based on the integration of the resort architecture with the vision of the naturallandscape, to explore the methods and strategies to maximize the use of the landscape in theprocess of mutual intervention between the resort architectures and landscape and the modesof the use of landscape in different terrain conditions. In the first chapter, the article described the origin and background of this research paper, the purpose, significance and research status, and finally proposed the method and structuralframework of thesis. In the second chapter, it was summarized that the architecture design based on integrationof the resort architecture with the landscape perspective, and respectively discussed thedefinition, origin, classification and characteristics of the resort architecture, andcommonalities of utilization of the natural landscape in the resort architecture was summedup. In the third chapter, from the point of view of planning, analyzed the use of the naturallandscape from three different environment scales combining with the external naturallandscape, and summarized the common modes of the layout which based on the naturallandscape. In the fourth chapter, from the point of view of resort buildings, combining with twodifferent experiences of behavioral and visual perception to the use of natural landscape, summed up the methods of the natural landscape utilization from the perspective of theconstruction under two different spatial scales. In the fifth chapter, summarized utilization strategies of the natural landscape combiningthe author participated projects design practice of the spa town of Hope Valley andXiangtoushan Boluo eco-tourism resort and quantitatively analyzed the use of its naturallandscape. Finally, the methods of architectural design of resort based on the integration ofarchitecture and natural landscape perspective was concluded, which provided reference tothe design of architecture of the resorts to maximize the utilization landscape in future. Andthe creative design idea was proposed that architecture of the resort, planning and landscapeto “Trinity".
