Gyroplane is a rotor craft. The rotor is defined as lifting surface, while the propeller or otherdevice is defined as the propulsion. By compared with the helicopter, the gyroplane features withsimple structure, high safety and low cost.A gyroplane is taken as an example, the composite blade structure suited to the medium-sizedGyroplane is designed and analyzed. Some design elements, such as aerodynamic, stiffness, materialand dynamic are considered during the design process. Most of the parameters are coupled each otherin complex way. Based on the blade structure design technology and the optimized design methodcombined with modern computer technology, the blade structure optimized technology of Gyroplaneproceeds to next level.The structure design theory and method included in the thesis can be described as following:(1)The composite material is applied for the design of Gyroplane blade, and the composite materialproperty, mechanics behavior, application scope and manufacture technology have been deeplyanalyzed.(2) Based on the3D modeling technology, the general structure and detailed design of theblade are compared and analyzed for feasibility, and the aerodynamic parameters of blade areoptimized.(3)The finite element methods for CAE are used to calculate the composite blade strengthand natural characteristics.(4) Based on the design factors mentioned above, proper designparameters could be optimized for blade structure.The analysis also refers to parts of the existing helicopter blades analysis concepts and methodsdeveloped for years. So, analysis is feasibility and reliability. A feasible design method for gyroplanecomposite blade structure design could be given. This paper may offer some valuable experience forfurther study in application and theory.This paper introduces the composite blade structure-design of small and. It includesaerodynamics, strength, material, and the dynamics. There are many design factors. Most of theparameters are coupled each other in complex way. It is expected that this paper could make sence toblade structure design technology of the gyroplane through structure design theory and design methodcombined with the modern computer technology.This paper involves structure design theory and design methods, including the following severalresearch.(1)Gyroplane blade contains composite material, therefore, in this paper, the characteristicsof the composite materials, mechanical properties, applicable scope and manufacture have been researched.(2)3D modeling technology on blade overall structure and design details have been usedto do feasibility analysis and comparison. Aerodynamic parameters of the blade have been optimizedin this paper.(3)The finite element methods for CAE are used to calculate the composite bladestrength and natural characteristics.(4)Considering all sorts of design factors mentioned above, properdesign parameters could be optimized for blade structure.The analysis also refers to parts of the existing helicopter blades whose analysis of concepts andmethods has developed for years. So, analysis is feasibility and reliability. A feasible design methodfor gyroplane composite blade structure design could be given. This paper may offer some valuableexperience for further study in application and theory.
