Color is a kind of emotional language. In nature, everything has a different color.Colors are rich in variations through different hue, lightness, purity as well as contrastand harmony between them. As the endless variations, colorful and unique personalityof color, it has a strong influence on people’s vision, psychology, and physiology.Similarly, products with different colors will bring people different visual perception inindustrial design, so it could guide and meet consumption and demands of life ofdifferent groups of people. In this paper, through studying the use of product color andcolor emotion in industrial design, it concludes that products with color emotion isoriented and it could guide consumers’ operational behavior and consumer behavior. Inthe meantime, combining with the practice, it illustrates specific application law of thecolor emotion, color psychology, and color theory in the design of products’ colors.The research of products’ color emotion–oriented not only helps toexplore users’psychological characteristics, the characteristics of thinking,and behavior laws, etc., butalso helps designers to design the most attractive humane products. Furthermore, itcould meet special needs of product design of consumers’ innermost emotion to achievea high degree of harmony and unity between people and objects. Therefore, it will trulyenhance the level of products to concern consumers’ psychology, so it could makeconsumer and products emotionally communicates.
