With the size of the power system has become increasingly large and complex,how to ensure that the grid stable and reliable and meet the requirements of the powersupply has become the key issue of power researchers and experts. Distributionnetwork is connected directly with a variety of power users, making the network morecomplex and has its own characteristics. Grid in the event of a fault occurs, if failed tolocate and repair immediately, a wide range of power outage may occur, resulting insignificant economic losses. Meanwhile, in the day-to-day production and life, theincreasingly high demand for power quality is a more serious challenge to thereliability and stability of the grid. Important power facilities must ensure reliable andstable supply of high-quality power. When the system fails, dispatchers must be ableto locate, identify faulty components and the type of fault and repair plan in theshortest time to eliminate the failure from the scene of a large number of data.Therefore, how can the malfunction of the fault in a timely manner to locate and takerecovery measures known as a hot research topic in today’s scientists. Distributionnetwork fault location and recovery were studied, the main work and results are asfollows:First, this thesis presents a matrix-based fault location method. It uses matrixdescribing the network to locate the fault. The algorithm applies not only to a singlepower supply networks, but also for multi-supply network, as well as the situationwhen the network information is not enough. And some tests are used in the thesis toillustrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.Second, this thesis summarizes some characteristics of the distribution networkand distribution network fault recovery. A heuristic algorithm based recovery programis proposed, due to the random algorithm itself is difficult to overcome theshortcomings of computational time, when you need to quickly solve the problem.This paper presents the search for solutions in the computing time and calculatedresults able to meet the requirements of online computing. Then it can provideoperation of the program for the operators in time.Finally, this thesis proposes an approach based on stochastic optimizationalgorithm of fault recovery method. Based on the lack of heuristic optimization, the optimization algorithm in the fault recovery has been more applications to establish amore perfect recovery model, consider multiple optimization objectives andconstraints. And the model is solved by NSGA-II. The method with respect totraditional optimization algorithms (such as genetic algorithms, etc.) is more suitablefor the multi-objective problem is solved without the need for multiple objectives intoa single objective, thus avoiding the between the weight to determine the value ofeach target. It gets better results.
