The goal of the lunar exploration project is reconnaissance, sampling and returning. Theimplementation of project is significant for science, economy and politic, it can layfoundation for human resources development and utilization of the moon. The drillingsampling device (following referred to as the drilling device) is the key component of deepcapturing in the moon. The main truss structure is basic part of the drilling device, which hasthe function of connect, support and guide. So the mechanical properties of the main bearingtruss structure directly affect the drilling performance of the drilling device.The research of the topic is the main bearing truss structure of the drilling device.Applying numerical simulation to analysis and study the mechanical properties of the mainbearing structure, optimization basis on them. The main bearing truss structure configurationis designed according to relevant technical require, the main bearing truss structure finiteelement model is built by using the MSC.Patran software. Based on the analysis of themechanical environment in the whole mission cycle, it applies mechanical vibration theoryand structural mechanics, analyzes main bearing truss structure of modal, sinusoidal vibration,acceleration and maximum torque, then it gets the corresponding mechanical properties.According to the result of analysis, taking the cross-section size of the beams as theoptimization variables, taking the minimum mass as the objective, and the stiffness is greaterthe40Hz as the constraint, dimension of the main bearing truss structure is optimized, and anew finite element model is gained. The statics and dynamics performance of the new modalare analyzed, the mechanical properties of the new modal is meet requirements by testing.In the paper the main bearing structure that the stiffness is greater than40Hz and themass is less than6Kg is gained by structure design, mechanical analysis and optimization,which meets various mechanics properties. The result is provided as a reference foroptimization analysis and improvement of the main bearing structure of the drilling device.
