Today the rapid development of urbanization not only brings bad impact on theenvironment, urban food supply is also facing a huge challenges, the Chinese and foreignscholars to try to explore a new solutions,the urban agriculture concept began to enterpeople’s attention, the urban agriculture not only to make the city self-sufficiency butreduce dependence on food supply from rural areas, by using high technology to plant itcan improve the yield and quality of agricultural products and also can protect the cityenvironment, it was a sustainable development strategy to solve the problems arising fromthe current process of urbanization. The concept of urban agriculture developed so far, wehave not unfamiliar, but to use it in the field of architecture and urban planning, it is anemerging concept. From the roof garden, indoor farms, the promotion practices ofagriculture epidermis, to the exploration of vertical farms, all of this reflects thewidespread concern in the community in recent years, a combination of architecture andagriculture.In this paper, the current widespread concern about the "urban agriculture " concept asthe main starting point to explore the concept of urban architecture under the scope ofagro-ecological design strategy. Based on analyzing the concept of urban agriculture, aswell as the use of typological classification of a multidisciplinary approach integratingresearch, focusing on the integration of architecture and design agricultural theoretical,practical and technical aspects of the three studies presented related design strategy, whileput my own thinking towards current questions and the future development of eco-designaspects of urban architecture.
