| With the increasing number of cars every year in Xi’an, the traffic pressure is greatlyincreased. In order to mitigate the traffic congestion, the first of Xi’an Metro the Subway Line2opened on September16,2011, but then the number of the highly overlapped600bus line isreduced. September15,2013, the second of Xi’an Metro the Subway Line1opened, formedthe cross rail transportation network on the first time, effectively attracted passengers from theground to the underground, appeared more intense competitions between the metro andregular city bus.In this paper, the subway fare and the relationship between the subway fares and busfares are described, come to the conclusion that the reasonable fare on the subway systemcontributes coordinating the development of public transport. Meanwhile conducted a surveyon bus lines which are above the opened subway corridor, selected the most affected lines toget an actual research and data collection and analysis, get in that under the existing subwayfare in Xi’an, the opening of the subways has a great impact on the bus lines operating. Inorder to improve the attraction of the regular city buses, the buses should be optimized. Firstly,optimize the backdoor pedal area to improve the passengers speeding off, reducing thetransfer time. Secondly, improve the NVH characteristics of buses to provide a morecomfortable environment for passengers. Finally, introduce the new technologies of buses thatshould be taken to enhance the competitiveness of the bus.In Xi’an, more and more subways are opened gradually, and the rail transportationnetwork will be more intensive, under this background, the regular city buses also face moresevere competitive pressure. Therefore, the buses should not only improve the vehicleconfiguration, but also highlight the advantages of transferring conveniently. This paperdiscusses these aspects and presents a new design idea, have important significant to both busoperators and bus companies to develop new products. |
