Public transportation as an important mode of trip,carrying a large number of urbanresidential travel. With the devolepment of cities, some of the new district in city are notappropriate for public transportation services.Despite the rapid development of railtransportation, it’s too far for citizens to walk to the stop. In addition, urban transportplanning often appear blank area, and some road conditions due to the limitation ofconventional,public transport can not travel on the road, which are inconvenient for thepublic transport passengers.As a kind of urban public transpor, microcirculation bus fill large gaps in regular publictransport bus, bus rapid transit and rail transportation.It provided convenience for residentsabout short distance travel.It also effectively connect to large public transport, and haveprompted rise the ratio of residents choosing travel mode of public transport.This article focuses on the characteristics of the microcirculation bus operators andservice purposes, extending concept of microcirculation from urban transportation in thepublic transport field. It elaborate the practical significance and the classification ofmicrocirculation bus, by comparing the characteristics of regular bus and microcirculationpublic transport. Based on15microcirculation bus lines of Shanghai Bus Group under therelevant investigation, this paper analysis the characteristics of microcirculation buspassengers,and elaborate the method of forecasting the passenger flows of microcirculationpublic transport. This paper also proposes a method ahout planning bus stops formicrocirculation public transport. The method taking the total passenger walking distanceminimization as a objective, buld a mathematical model for solving the optimal sitelocation.Then conduct site location based on the actual road traffic conditions. Finally, thispaper select1604microcirculation bus line of the Shanghai Baoshan District for theplanning method application.It proves that the method of thispaper for planning bus stops isscientific and rational.This article analyze the features and characteristics of microcirculation bus passengers,and proposed the scientific method of planning microcirculation bus stops. The method in thispaper rise planning bus stops of microcirculation to the theoretical level.
