With the development of economy and increase of interests overseas, more and more weChina need powerful navy to protect our rights and interests. Aircraft carrier is an extremeexpensive weapon with outstanding combat effectiveness, and the number of shipborne aircraftonboard will directly influence the combat effectiveness of aircraft carrier. As a newcomer tocarrier club, there are many topics for we China to study to operate a carrier properly, and one ofthe topics is to arrange shipborne aircraft in hangar.This article mainly focuses on the study of arrangement of shipborne aircraft in hangar ofaircraft carrier, there are many problems to be accomplished for example the algorithms forarrangement and path planning. This article will analyzes these problems deeply and abstract theregulars of them. The achievements of contemporary study are applied to resolve these problemsto get a proper solution.Firstly, the background and significance of the issue we are to study are introduced. Thesituation and achievements of native and abroad are introduced to indicate the gap between usand top level, present the method and process for study of this article.The background and research achievements of bin packing problem are introduced to expressthe wildly used algorithms and importance for solving bin packing problem. Our own solution isproposed and realized by combining current mature algorithm for solving bin packing problemwith the issue we are to study, preparing for our further study.The movement status and characteristics of aircraft are analyzed when they are transported inhangar, and their movement procedures are simulated to compute movement data of aircraftunder different separate distance. These data will act as basis for aircraft’s arrangement in hangar.More factors are taken into consideration to compute and optimize aircraft’s arrangementsolution, and then to determine the number of aircraft to be mounted.CRRT algorithm is used to compute and optimize the path of aircraft in hangar. The totaldistance for all aircraft to complete transport procedure under alternative arrangement solutionsare calculated. The total distance is taken as a goal to optimize to select the best arrangementsolution from the ones satisfy space requirement.At last, the whole article is summarized and the direction for solving aircraft’s arrangementissue in hangar is forecast.
