Daylighting as the main lighting method of classrooms, is important to improve theinterior natural light environment, and enhance students’ physical and mental health as wellas eyesight, and save building energy consumption. Myopia of our students showedsignificant growth and trend of younger age, which attracts people’s attention to the qualityof the interior light environment in classrooms. Our primary and secondary schools hasreached the area of1.012billion square meters, which leaded to a huge lighting energyconsumption. Even though China in1996has proposed a " green campus movement", butonly a handful of cases reduced energy consumption by improving natural lighting design.Constant update of standard for daylighting design of primary and secondary schools didnot improve natural lighting significantly in the actual project, nor the domestic designindustry given sufficient attention to the interior light environment of classroom. In thiscontext, the thesis take the natural light environment of primary and secondary schoolclassroom buildings as the main research object, summarizes the current issue of indoorlight environment of classrooms, sum up the strategies of architectural designing focusingon improving interior natural light environment.After expounding the significance of daylighting and the standard for daylightingdesign, the thesis gather the methods of daylighting focused on interior natural lightenvironment through reading literature. Through field research about interior natural lightenvironment of11classrooms of three schools in Guangzhou, this thesis indicates thecurrent problems of classrooms in daylighting. Then the thesis introduces the excellentstrategies on daylighting of schools at home and abroad combining with Ecotect andRadiance, simulation tools for the analysis of daylight condition, to evaluate them. At last,thesis interprets the specific methods of daylighting design based on actual project inGuangzhou area.Following results have been obtained:1)Objectively and accurately sum up the problems of classrooms in daylighting at home,through field research of classrooms in there primary and secondary schools in Guangzhou;2)Recommend Innovative strategies of daylighting in primary and secondary school buildings domestic and overseas, and evaluate them by computer simulation software. Hopeto provide reference to daylighting design of classrooms at home.3)Interprets the specific methods of daylighting design in Guangzhou area throughcomputer-aided design.
