Based on the literature of domestic and foreign related to metallic thermal protection systemwere detailed reading.Studing the two order central difference method and the MATLABprogramming software used for metal thermal protection system. The use of background and theworking principle and the development course of the metal thermal protection system are detaillyintrouduced.Clear-cut the importance of numerical simulation of heat transfer for the metallic thermalprotection system. In this paper,SA/HC metal TPS plate is selected for the heat transfer research.Establishtwo-dimensional numerical heat transfer model for the two-panle array model, and contrast thecalculation results with the experimental data to verify the correctness of the model. The coordinatetransformation method is used in the model of the head of the spacecraft and add active colling on theboundary as deep research. The two order central difference method is used to discrete theequations, and calculate the results by programming in order to calculate the temperature of theboundary layer of the plane whether under the design limits or not. There is a little error of the calculation results while compared with the experimental data.Thehighest temperature of the boundary is133.15℃that in the design limits.;Calculation results of thenumerical heat teansfer model of the head of the spacecraft shows the highest temperature ofboundary of the titanium panel is71℃.The result shows the active cooling is more effective in theheat radiating. The add of the avtive cooling on The boundary of the thermal protection system isonly a deep research in this paper.
