Currently, a new round of the power grid reform with the feature ofinformatization is advancing in nationwide, which with a direction of intelligent anddiversification, and with the purpose of ensure security and stability of power grid.Wide Area Measurement System (WAMS) system in which play a central role inguiding and providing important data base for the safe and stable operation oflarge-area interconnected power system,and it has become a new trend in the future.Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) as the basic measurement unit of WAMS system,the data quality of PMU is a key factor to WAMS systems’ functions. In order toensure the safety and reliability of PMU which worked in the power grid, it is muststart the work of detect PMU before it working in the grid.PMU detector verification platform as the core part of the PMU detection device,Verification platforms and hardware systems together form a PMU detection device,which can achieve the PMU static accuracy test, Dynamic function test andMulti-point synchronization simulation experiment. This paper uses a standard sourcemethod to detect the PMU, on the one hand the platform controlled the high-precisionstandard source with GPS synchronized output three-phase module voltage andcurrent signals to the PMU which not tested, on the other hand the platform can getthe PMU output measurement results through the network communications, andcompared with standard source to analysis and calculate the deviation, achieving thepurpose of detect the performance of PMU. When start the Dynamic functionexperiment, the platform need to process the data from acquisition module throughthe method of non-synchronous sampling, and in order to get high-precisionparameter and reduce the spectral leakage and picket fence effect which fromnon-synchronous sampling, this paper used Nuttall(I) window interpolation algorithmto correct the result of Non-synchronous. Verification platform used TCP and UDPprotocols to communicate with the PMU and the detection device hardware system,through these protocols, the platform can achieving the data exchange with PMU andthe hardware system’s transmission and control. In the software design, this studyuses Delphi7.0development platform, and apply the method of modular softwaredesign, dividing the software into seven modules and details of each module, combined with the Access database to product the report in the form of automatictable.Firstly, from a macro perspective of the significance of this subject and thebackground, through the analysis of current research to determine the method ofstandard source as the basic line of research, made the expected functionalspecifications, and described the composition of the PMU detection device; Secondly,the detection method PMU static accuracy and dynamic function experiments wereintroduced, detailed the communication protocol used by the process and the protocol,and focused on the implementation of each module of the platform’s software. Finally,through the debugging and field experiments, achieved the implementation of thedetection of the PMU.
