Lots of ancientnationalities’culture converge and communicate here, so to speak, here is thesource of Uygur’s art, music,architecture and many other arts.Kashgar has fourdistinctive seasons,a shorter winter and a longer summer. Because of the influence ofclimatic factor,traditional residence here have thicker walls, various materials,flexible ways of construction, more respect of privacy,which can be proved bybasement or semi basement of every household. Nowadays, nibbling of urbanization,earthquake and some other historical problems have destroyed many houses. The oldtown has met the risk of vanishing. The Kashgar government has got down to protectit.The old town of Kashgar has a long history and a lot of traditional culture. As amain street of the old town,“Areya Road” reflects cultural features of building、decoration、music、catering、costume and so on in all direction in Kashgar.Thepurpose of writer’s research of “Areya Road” is to protect it without changing theoriginal appearance and culture, and exist between modern culture and traditionalculture.
