The space-based self-organized network, which is a new space communicationstructure based on the basic concepts of ad hoc network on the ground, will surely playan un-replaceable role in optimizing the deployment of space resource, enhancing thesurvive ability of space system, boosting the responsibility of space system tounexpected factors, and promoting the construction of space-based Internet. Thefundamental characteristics of the space-based self-organized network was presentedin this dissertation. The main part of this dissertation concentrates on the enablingtechnologies for cluster flying spacecraft system, which is based on the applicationbackground of micro-or nano-satellites cluster flight. The main research points of thisdissertation are as follows:1. The fundamental characteristics of space-based self-organized network were analyzedand the definition of it was given definitely based on the related work on this research. The structure model of the self-organized network for cluster flying spacecrafts wasproposed.2. The two-step autonomous construction mechanism for one-hop network waspresented according to the characteristic of the self-organized network for cluster flyingspacecrafts, and then we proposed the framework design of the self-organized networkfor cluster flying spacecrafts, in which, one-hop network protocol and multi-hopnetwork protocol work together. The work modes of the self-organized network forcluster flying spacecrafts were analyzed. The typical application technologies of theself-organized network for cluster flying spacecrafts were analyzed.3. A new slot-reservation based one-hop topology network autonomous functionprotocol which aim at supplying the gap of SOTDMA(Self-Organized Time DivisionMedium Access)is presented.4. The emulating software system of the self-organized network for cluster flyingspacecraft was constructed by using the emulation and modeling technologies ofdiscrete-event system. The performance of the one-hop topology network autonomousfunction protocol is evaluated, the effect of different protocol variables on theperformance of network was studied, a new method which combined the design ofexperiment and approximation to optimize protocol variables was provided.5. A series of experiments had been done to demonstrate the application technologiessuch as indirect telemetry, indirect tele-control and relative navigation. To sum up, the concept, structure, protocol design, emulation and demonstrationtechnologies are discussed in this dissertation, which would be a good foundation forfurther research on the space-based self-organized network.
