In China’s12th five-year plan, the strategic measure of "building to the west as thefocus of the development of the railway" is proposed, which will be a impotant projects ofdevelopment and construction.China’s southwest and northwest regions are mostlymountainous and hilly areas, the structural features of special carrier can be well adaptedto many tunnels and bridges and tunnels connecting special working environment.According to the requirement of the construction, a new double-girder special carrier isdeveloped and researched where its stress characteristics,3d simulation and test resultsand so on are included. The main results of paper are given as following:The High-speed railway construction of concrete box girder and demands aboutpassing tunnels is analyzed and the single transporter’s shortcomings and defects in thewhole transportation with concrete box through the tunnel are expounded. By contrast, thestructure characteristics of the special carrier and its advantage are pointed out in theconstruction of bridges and tunnels.The operation methods of special carrier is studied,and the differences of the singlebeam are compared with the double beam special carrier in structure and function. Someproblems of single-girder special carrier encountered in the construction are pointed outwhich includes weak overloading operation stability, and complex operation, and so on.The optimized design is done and applied in practice which strengthens its runningstability and safety.Three-dimensional structure stress analysis model is established with ANSYSsoftware. The stress analysis is carried out. The data under different working conditionsare obtained which provides the basis for the optimization design for mechanical structure.By comparing the result between theoretical calculation and numerical simulation, thecorrectness of the theoretical analysis is illustrated.The problems in high speed railway bridge construction about the construction of thetunnel portal zero distance are studied. Based on the research of double beam specialcarrier, some special construction methods are optimized.Finally, some problems in the factory test and field application process are analyzed by which some optimization suggestions are provided for the future design.
