As the energy consumption and environmental pollution worsening, hydropower as aclean and renewable energy gaining more and more attention. Hydro generator is the coreequipment of hydroelectric power, with the needs of production and life, hydro unitcapacity getting bigger, make the problem of unit vibration and the degree of automationnot advanced of speed control systems become more and more prominent, not onlyplaguing our hydropower technical personnel but also the focus of world counterpartsresearch. So, it has great significance to research reduce unit vibration and improve thelevel of automation and control of speed control system.In this paper, the research object is a suspension hydro, establish its stator and rotorcoupling model for analysis, find out the reason of upper bracket radial vibration too large, and optimize design of its structure, while using MATLAB/Simulink establish thesimulation model of speed control system to simulate, and compare the advantages anddisadvantages of speed control system under the control of fuzzy PID and PID.Firstly, according to the structure diagram and data parameters of suspension hydroprovide by Harbin Electric Factory Limited Liability Company, using finite elementsoftware ADINA establish the hydro calculation model of stator and rotor couplingmodel.Secondly, through modal analysis and harmonic response analysis of couplingmodel,get the radial vibration frequency and vibration double amplitude of the upperbracket,and calculate the radial dynamic stiffness of the upper bracket changes with theexcitation frequency, provide a theoretical basis for future product design. While accordingto the principle of sensitivity, using Latin Hypercube experimental design method tostructure optimize design of upper bracket.Thirdly, using MATLAB/Simulink established hydro startup, load disturbance andrejection100%load simulation model based on fuzzy PID and PID control, throughsimulation analysis,get the speed、guide vane opening and water torque changes indifferent conditions under the control of fuzzy PID and PID, comparison of the control effects of the two control methods, provide a reference for the fuzzy PID put into thecontrol of hydro.
